			<title><![CDATA[ Frozen crickets: a question ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ I actually went to a pet store and bought live crickets today.  Smallest quantity I could get was a dozen, and they were all pretty big for a single ant queen,
brood or no.  That meant I was going to have to chop &#39;em up...and that I&#39;d have enough to feed my queens for weeks.

I put them in the freezer.  For one thing, I didn&#39;t have to deal with a squirming critter when I was cutting it into little pieces.  I&#39;m hoping the
remaining crickets will keep for at least a few... ]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[ Tetramorium eggs not developing ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ ok I have caught 18 queens around 6/1-6/3 I have them set up in test tubes. 3 TT with a single queen the rest 2-4 queens. They all have piles of eggs for
almost 30 days now and none have developed. A few of the eggs are turning brown and drying up. What do you think the problem is? BTW I took 2 queens out, feed
them and put them in a dirt setup( I&#39;m thinking its the water) to see if the eggs will develop. Oh incase you&#39;re wondering they queens ARE mated and
came from 3 different... ]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[ Queen ant?? ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ Can you guys help me on identifying this ant, and if it&#39;s a queen? If she is a queen, what are the chances of her being able to lay fertile eggs, since she
still has wings? She&#39;s a big black ant, bigger than my Tetramorium queen. Her abdomen is huge. She has these weird hair looking things coming out of her
mouth. I found her in my pool. Sorry for the bad picture quality, the pictures were taken with my video camera. I am in Kansas City, MO if that helps with the
identification.

			<title><![CDATA[ Accidential Bating (Many Pictures) ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ Well as some of you know, I&#39;m a beekeeper. Recently I harvested honey from the hives. Well all the wax shavings from the cells and bur comb (comb not built
directly on the frame,) seemed to be doing nothing. So I started throwing them out in the compost pile before realizing the mess load of bees they would
attract. Note that my compost pile is strictly for grass clippings and leaves. So the bees came and cleaned everything off, and they&#39;ve since stopped. Well
well what&#39;s left... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I have had the harvestor ants for about 6 months now, they appear to be healthy and run around, i would say there is about 50ish of them and the queen. I
don&#39;t understand how they are functioning though... i keep them in a small tank.. made for ants (it had a large area for them to walk about on the surface
but has the thinness of a normal antfarm to see the chambers)... I feed them grass seeds (which they go mental for) and other random seeds... water them etc...

			<description><![CDATA[ So I&#39;ve read all about formicariums and building them, and I have what I think is a great idea, but it&#39;s just not coming together as smoothly as I had
thought it would.  Silicone needs like two days to dry, and each time the seal fails it&#39;s another two days wait just to see if it has worked THIS time.

			<description><![CDATA[ This is one of the Mystery Ants that I have in my yard.  We recently had some rain after a 2 week dry spell, and I noticed a lot of activity in this particular
colony.  I saw several male alates, and I spotted a female alate today.  Not sure if this ant is a queen, but she has the bulbous yellow thorax that the alate
queen had.  My tape measure is MIA, so I can only guess her size at about 1/8&quot;. (UPDATE: tape measure found, she is about 3/16&quot; long.)  These ants

I have a theory with Tapinoma sessile. Now I won&#39;t be able to test this right away, not until they expand more (could be until next year even, if they
don&#39;t produce alates this year). Well, from what I read this is a non-aggressive ant. Although, I have seen them attacking a small Argentine ant nest where
I released them. They would run into the hole, run out, then the Argentine ant would... ]]></description>
