I am planning on making an ant farm, based on Chuck's two-jar system. I was wondering, so that I don't need to expose my ants to light while viewing them in the nest, is it practical/safe to replace the foil/black material with a red-tinted adhesive vinyl / contact? I think the time has come for a "How to" sub-section of the forum to be written.
Personally, I think people should be forced to look through the form to find info. They undoubted learn from all the posts.
However, as this form/hobby grows in popularity we will be flooded with new enterprising individuals with question they will post.
