			<description><![CDATA[ HI everyone, I just came back from Half Moon Bay after trying to find some pogos; none that I can see. But I did find a large queen running quickly on the ground, so I caught her. She is exactly 11mm in length, 7mm X 5mm gaster, brownish red legs and full black body with only a hint of brownish red on the gaster. She runs fast and is very aware of her surroundings. If I would venture a guess, I would say carpenter but the hill top she was on was just about treeless and I think a carpenter... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ OK I have this crazy idea.<br>There are these ants around my house that dig deeper into the ground than I care to dig up any colony. <br>I assume it's like 4 feet or something.<br>Now, if I were to just put 4 feet of soil on top of there nest would that make them move there whole operation up to a level I'm more willing to deal with?<br>NOTE: I am aware that putting 4 feet of soil on top of a nest that I'm only going to dig back up again is far more work than just digging up the whole... ]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[ Observation: Ants vs Termites vs Bees in Traveling Museum ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ There is a big local Insect Museum here in PA as well as we get some traveling insect exhibits but we never see any ants in them. They normally have Termites and Bees colonies with queens but no ants.<br>Is this because Ants have a law about moving them to state to state and Termites and Bees do not? <br>Or is there some other reason for this?<br>Anyone have any ideas why an Insect exhibit would not have ants? ]]></description>
