Today I just looked and I see remains of a wing left, it wasn't a fly wing, it was to large...I've only put in small flies and none have flown in, I would have seen it when I put the lid on.

It looks just like a wing from a queen. Its long, a little bit wide (more long so) and isn't from a fly.

Like I said, I cant put my ant farm they are in now in it since its too tall.

So now how do I move them? I have no way to drill the glass, so the only way I can think of is emptying them out...but I don't want to do that.

I bought a 10 gallon tank (Silicon (sorry if thats spelled wrong) glue on the corners, so I can't put any slippery substances on it because it won't work.) Anyone have any idea of what I can use so my fire ants don't escape everywhere?

I have 5 L.niger queens that I collected about 4 weeks ago. I set up each in a seperate claustral cell (actually adjacent compartments of a sealable plastic toolbox, with a lump of wet cotton wool and a bit of sand or dirt each)

So far so good - they have all laid eggs and the larvae are growing.
