Hey guys, I just joined this forum but I have been looking for queen ants for almost 3-4 month already.
I have no idea where to put this cause it's kind of like 2 topics.
I live in Singapore and I don't think there are many types of species here.
Just this morning, I was out on my daily routine to look for ants.
I saw a trail of ants carry white things on their mouth (I suspect that it's eggs) and I followed it's trail.
It led from their nest (I think) to a bunch of fallen leaves which a cleaner swept the leaves together.
I used my shovel to spread out the leaves and I saw a number of winged ants among the bunch of eggs.
I only managed to caught one and I placed it in a test tube with water.
I'm hoping to see eggs from the ant I caught. I will put up photos of the ant later.
And, who can help me with making a escape-proof fish tank for my ants in the future?
What are the best thing to do?
I once placed talcum powder with water but a weaver ant (worker) just walked past it (with some difficulty of course)
Thanks in advance to all.
