Again, while swimming in my pool, I found an alate (I think it's a male - maybe of Brachymyrmex?) that I didn't recognize. The ant is very small and sort of translucent. If was very lethargic and frail.
- Collected in central NJ, Monmouth County. Low elevation.
- Found in a pool. But the area is semi-wooded to open. A typical suburban development.
- Coloration: very pale. The legs are almost clear, but the head and gaster are darker.
- Length: 2mm.
- Behavior: didn't really move all that much.
