I have just came home from my 10 day holidays. I went to check my ants and saw that my Formica sp. queen has pupae! I found her day before I went to holidays. So it is 11 days from egg to pupae asuming she laid eggs within first day. Pupae look healthy and I don't see anything strange on them. There are 2 big larvae that will pupate any second and 4 small larvae. This is really strange. I haven't boosted her or anything like that. I thought I will find her with eggs or some small larvae but not pupae! I am really suprised. I will keep an eye on her and see how will her workers look. So far everything seems completly normal.
