First of all sorry for no pictures! I will try to describe my queen so you guys can help me but I am allready almost 100% sure it is Camponotus ligniperda. The lenght of the queen is 17-18 mm. She is huge! Head and body shape made me think she is Camponotus queen. She has a large black head, red/brown thorax and black gaster. She still has wings but I think she is mated because there were no cotton pulling at all and she settled in quite fast. She is cleaning herself all the time. Do this sound like Camponotus ligniperda? She was found near Mediteranian sea, Croatia , southern Europe at night near flourescent white lamp running on the floor. Edit: I have just realized that I posted this in wrong forum, antdude please move it to anting forum. Thank you.
