Hey folks. This evening there was a large amount of activity amongst the local Lasius populations. Both Lasius alienus and Lasius neoniger had flights, along with an unidentified social parasite species (though I suspect Lasius latipes), which I captured four queens. This all happened in Western Michigan around 6pm. Pictures of the parasitic queens will be posted here when I get the opportunity. A journal will also be kept in the Keeping Ants section.
