Hey guys, it's me again, asking yet another question on a flight of a certain species here in Eastern Pennsylvania. This time, it's about the species Camponotus pennsylvanicus. I would like to know when they will start flying. It's really warm this week, getting up into the 70's, and there is supposed to be some thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday. Will these be good times for them to start flying, or really any species around here to start flying? I always see these queens running around on my driveway during a hot, 90-degree summer day where there is absolutely no wind and the sun is just beating down on you, so I'm guessing they prefer really hot weather. Any help would be appreciated, and thanks!
