Just finished a week up in Steuben Maine, at the Eagle Hill Institute. Aaron Ellison taught the course, and I couldn't
ask for a better week. I now know what I don't know. And can , generally ID to a Genus, sometimes by eye along, and usually with
a hand lens. Good company, very good food, and great conversation from 7 AM til 9 PM. We did field trips four out of the seven days; blueberry field, forest, gravel pit, and one scenic outlook. My confidence level is far higher than before I went ! We shared the week with a group doing biofilms/lichen, and another doing land snails. Breakfast and evening meals were long conversations revolving around all three subjects. Definitely a learning experience.
