Hey folks. I saw it recommended earlier to use baking soda to cut down on formic acid within test tubes. Just want to get this out there so new ant keepers don't try it on their own. Baking soda is a common natural ant poison, used across the world. Quick google searches will reveal this to you. Whether or not the original poster meant any harm by it, I don't know. Just don't want people to try it and kill their colonies.
