It seems there is a lot of activity these past weeks in my country. Many nuptial flights, many queens.
So, yesterday I found these two queens that look really similar, and I need an Id for them. They are around 9-10mm with grey on the bottom part, and darker grey on the upper.
Wings are much longer that the entire body, head is pretty big, thorax length is almost the same as the gaster length, so I kind of think they are "Camponotus sp." queens. Still, I'm not an expert and I need more experienced people to give a firm verdict.
I know that "Camponotus sp." queens usually are bigger, but I know there are smaller queens too.
I hope that the identification can go up to the specie level.
