Hi everyone. I collected this small worker, around 1.5mm in length, in south Mobile County in Alabama. It was foraging in a dirt driveway.
Coloration is bi-colored with the head, gaster, and coxae being darker than the body. It also has small spines. The postpetiole is much wider than the petiole when viewed from the top.
I am thinking this could be Cardiocondyla, but not sure as they are not listed on the Mississippi Entomological Museum site for Alabama. However, my guess on the genus could be totally incorrect.
If more pics are required from different angles, let me know.
Thanks for any help!
