Callow Ant Posts: 23 06/30/2009 9:19 PM	ok my friend sent me this ! ------------------HIS MESSAGE BELOW------------------------ Just to let any one know who is interested in having a Leaf cutting Ant Colony. I have been offered 10 leaf cutting Ant colonies, species Acromyrmex Queen Ant plus the brood and 100 to 200 workers. Each one comes with food fungus the size of a golf ball and so there is plenty of food while they get established in the set up you put them in. The cost of these to me are $75 (TRADE PRICE) and this is the cost price I will add an additional $12 for my handling fee and also $17 shipment fee. This supplier collects insects for zoos and this size of Leaf Cutting Ant colony would cost over $185 anywhere worldwide with out the shipment and packaging costs. So I am offering just above their trade cost However in order for me to be able to offer them at this price I would need to sell 10 to you people in the US. Which is achievable and so if you are interested then you need to make your payment with in 3 weeks to me. This is when they will be shipped to you. This is a super deal for anyone in the US buying this Ant species, if you know of anyone in Europe wishing to buy then the price is much more $132 plus $29 (postage and shipping costs and my handling fee as well). Sorry if we do not reach 10 sales I can not get these Ants,. So I need to sell 10 Leaf Cutter Ant colonies. As yet about 5 different species are collected for Zoos and Universities, I am waiting for an email to see which species that will be sent to me.. they may be all the same of a choice of 2. This person is probably digging up some ants in their yard and selling them. Also this is illegal to do in the US, even under the guise of "lizard food." This topic also violates rules to this forum. Blatant violation of the rules despite full knowledge of the severity of the infraction. 2. This isn't the first time that I've heard him attempting to use these forums to purchase queened colonies. 3. People will still send him private messages instead of using his e-mail if they are interested. Even if we delete this thread people will still contact him through his profile using private messages to conduct the trade of whatever species he really does have. By allowing him to continue to be on this forum, we are knowingly allowing this to occur. I think that we should leave this thread publicly viewable (but closed to new posting) as the fully transparent reason for his banning, preventing him or others from stating that he was banned under unfair or otherwise false pretenses. Edit: Fixed minor spelling error.
