Ok, here's another Sri Lankan NTA for you. This time, it's more a ecological/behaviour question.
On a typical road in Sri Lanka, there are two different species living very close to each other. One of the species is the introduced invasive Solenopsis geminata, which is highly aggressive, has huge nests and a dominant appearance.
But there is one species, which just kind of ignores the Solenopsis, nesting just next to the big nest and is also able to occupy food sources. I marked it with a green circle. So, which ant species could this be?
