The first few workers of my camponotus chromaiodes colony I've been growing in a test tube have finally hatched, with a few more well on the way. I was wondering how I should go about feeding them without potentially contaminating the test tube environment. The ytong nest I have prepared for them is also attached to a foraging area via tubing. Can I just place the tube in the foraging area without the cotton block and let them forage on their own? And if I do, will they eventually find their way into the new nest and settle there?
