I caught something that I believe is a "Camponotus sp." male alate.
This is the highest quality for the pictures.
It was caught on 22/06/2015, at around 20:00, on pavement, inside city, near a block. Clear sky, sun was down, but there was still light. Location: Iasi(Romania).
It's all black with shiny thorax. Around 7 mm length from head to abdomen, as seen in the pictures also.
I was kind of unsure if this is a "Camponotus sp." male alate because of it's small head and strange antenna, but after a simple google search for them it seems that they resemble with what I have in my pictures.
Now the questions are:
1) Is it really an ant male alate ?
2) If 1) is true, then is it a "Camponotus sp." male alate ?
3) If 2) is true, can someone ID it's specie ?
If possible, please add pictures too with possible species of males alates and/or queens.
