Short of an island or a vast mine field I don't know what to tell ya.... unless they were nesting on/in a sphere or some sort of hanging object so you'd just need to ant proof the parts that are holding it up. Though something like that would need extra supports and need to be balanced in some way.

I like the sphere idea with the ants nesting in the middle. When they go out to forage they'd just be walking in circles. Maybe a modified clear rodent exercise ball? I could see rolling it to be an awful problem.

Or you could settle with the good old fashioned terrarium with some sort of lid.
