Tetramorium keeping? |

I caught a small colony of Tetramorium ants that are settle in and I want to ask what diet they have. Their workers are about 2mm in lehgth, the queen is about 8mm in length, and they are about 15 larvea and 30-40 workers, how much food should I give them? Thanks.

Tetramorium are known for two things: seed eating and food storage. They'll actually dig mounds and place food into a hole to preserve it until they need it. This way, there's always food. IF you're going to keep them, I recommend keeping them in some sort of dirt-like substrate. They love almost every type of seed, in my experience, ecspecially grass.
