Is there any way to get a copy of "Taxonomic revision of the Nearctic genus Acanthomyops (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)" by M. W. Wing?

Yes! That's a very thorough monograph, and the best reference for the group even 40 years later. It's a free download here:

Two notes:
1. Acanthomyops was synonymized with Lasius in Bolton's big 2003 revision. 2. "Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for life." Except of course the worldwide fish stocks have been so depleted, that may no longer be true....anyway, Myrmecos2 gave MILTA a fish. Here is how to fish: Go to www.antbase.org. Type Wing in the "Author Search" box, then click "Submit Query." You will get a list of publications of M. W. Wing, most of which can be downloaded. [If you type Acanthomyops in the "Taxon Search" box and hit "Submit Query," you get the Acanthomyops page in the Hymenoptera Name Server. This page says the name is invalid and the valid name is Lasius.] MILTA and Myrmecos2 both know about Bolton's big 2003 revision, and it does not detract from the merits of Wing's monograph. H |

Actually if you type in the Taxon search it gives me a Problem Loading Page Error.

Hmmm....it's working for me right now. But the Hymenoptera Name Server often seems to be offline.
